I've decided to upgrade my fence, but I can't decide on a style yet. I've noticed that in the last couple of years people have started to move away from classic wooden fences and do something more modern. For example, my neighbors now have horizontal panels of dark metal - it looks stylish, but I don't know how practical it is. What fences are popular now? What is better to choose, so that it looks modern, but at the same time does not require constant maintenance?

I've recently been looking for modern fence solutions too. Combined structures are very popular now - metal plus wood or concrete. We ended up choosing the metal version with powder coating, because wood still requires maintenance. These fences look minimalistic, but they are very reliable. I think in 2025 people are increasingly prioritizing practicality and durability.
